NATHAN, SOIREE, AND SKY'S LIFE TOGETHER

On the surface, the three roommates are as different from one another as they could possibly be. Scratch that surface and look underneath, and you'll find a fully functional family unit, encompassing the same dynamics as in „any family: independence, togetherness, selfishness, antagonism, love, respect, support, laughter, joy, pain, fighting for use of the bathroom, and the propensity to drive each other up the wall.

Soiree and Nathan are joined at the funny bone. They have a strong connection through their shared sense of humor, as well as their ironic take on life. Which is not to say they don't clash: Nathan's a compulsive neatnick, thoroughly obsessed with everything in the apartment being just so. Soiree is forever flouting Nathan's house rules, severely testing his limits; even a mildly critical comment from Nathan about leaving dirty dishes in the sink can provoke a scathing verbal attack from Soiree-- which is understandable, considering his tempestuous personality. Soiree's fierce survival instinct has instilled him with the wiles of a predator-- with the keen precision of a laser beam, he can instantly identify a person's weakness and attack it. His weapon of choice: words, which he wields like razor blades.

Sky, on the other hand, is a mellow, agreeable roommate... though at times, his free spirit can drive both his roommates to distraction: He can't pass a piece of discarded junk in the street-- say it's a dirty, oversized industrial wooden spool-- without dragging it home as furniture for his room. Which naturally frustrates the compulsive Nathan to no end. Where Soiree sees a cockroach the size of a schnauzer and runs to stomp it, Sky sees a forest creature to be picked up, gently, and set free outdoors. He's perfectly capable of finding an exotic animal that's escaped from the zoo, and, without telling anyone, bringing it home as a guest. Sky is so accepting and trusting of the world, he can't even conceive of malice or evil or being ripped off by anyone. Of course on occasion this leads to hurt... and when it does, his "family"-- Nathan and Soiree-- is there for him. As for Soiree, although he'd never outwardly show his need for anyone, he knows that in Nathan and Sky he has two friends he can honestly trust. Whenever times get rough, petty disagreements get pushed aside and the three are there for each other.
